By considering and analyzing the market place, it will help to determine what strategies are used in the process of distribution. By using the correct distribution, it will be very helpful to reduce the transportation costs of distribution, so that will greatly affect the profits or earnings which will be received by the Management. There are basically three important things that need to be considered in performing distribution activities to be carried out efficiently. The three important factors are the intensive nature of distribution, then the exclusive method of distribution, and the last type is using the concept of selective distribution.
Exclusive method of distribution is very concerned about quality and prestige. Usually this type of distribution used for marketing management for companies who do have the trademark high-quality enough. An example is the distribution which is only carried out to select the marketing outlets are only selected places, these places are usually located in a busy area visited by the elite consumer. The places referred to can be outlet stores located in malls, plazas, and place the other elite. The selection of these select places to consider keeping the product marketed impressed tall and has a prestigious quality that is not shared by other products. Generally, if using this method, the sales generated can not be achieved with great results if judged from the one by one is not in its entirety. But still produces a very high profit, as prices of products offered have the management with the relatively high prices, and stable.
The second is by using the concept of selective distribution. The concept is almost similar distribution when compared with the concept of distribution by using the concept of exclusive distribution. But the coverage of selective distribution usually has a broader marketing management in comparison with exclusive distribution by type. The concept of this production is usually has much disadvantage compared with other distribution type. However, the positive points will be gained by adopting selective distribution is controlling the price.
Last is intensive distribution method. This type of distribution usually will have the broadest market compared to other methods of food distribution well with the concept of exclusive distribution or selective distribution method. As the management of product marketing will include market indiscriminately, whether it is a traditional market, secondary market, modern markets, or even elite market that can only be reached by certain circles. The downside of this distribution is unable to control the price to be used uniformly.
